Theodoros Sklaviadis
Professor of Pharmacology
Theodoros Sklaviadis is Professor of Pharmacology at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Department of Pharmacy). His research focuses mainly on the development of pharmaceuticals and immunotherapy on cellular and animal models of proteinopathies.
After completing his studies and PhD in Greece, he launched his research career at the leading universities in the USA, Yale and Rockfeller, where he also served as Assistant and Adjunct professor, respectively.
Since 1993, he is the head of his own laboratory at AUTh, listing a great number of valuable publications in the fields of prion diseases, neurodegenaration, and RNA editing.

Theodoros Sklaviadis founded the Prion Diseases Research Group at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 1993. Under his guidance, the laboratory produced highly accomplished scientists and professionals with significant subsequent careers on a global scale.
